A new pin on my Campdraft

RBH

Bartender
Here is my newest pin a vintage FFA pin. I was vice president of our FFA during my Junior and Senior year of High School.
When I saw this pin I knew I had to have it.
I put it on my Campdraft, what I like is the pin is small enough that it does not over shadow the ribbon.
The photo of the pin on the hat is not great but what do ya'll think?

Perfect compliment to the hat, RBH....As you say, not overpoewering, doesn't take a thing away from the hat, only adds to it.

I likes!

As everyone else has said, the perfect complement to your Campdraft.

FFA = Future Farmers of America, right?

Thanks everyone, I think it really looks cool.
Yes Fats it stands for Future Farmers of America, I sometimes forget our friends in other climates may not be as familiar with our abbreviations as we are.

No no it's a good thing - If I hadn't gone Googling, I wouldn't have learned about the FFA. :)

Nice pin. Various members of my family were in FFA. I was president of the Beta club in high school, but somehow I don't think that pin would look quite as appropriate on a hat. lol

This thread makes me think I should have been involved in more when I was a kid.

I got a certificate for a maths competition, once. I guess I could roll it up and stick it inside the ribbon. lol

Yeah, and maybe I could line a hat with my SAT scores to absorb the sweat ...

Not so long ago I was thrown by references to the NRA - obviously I was thinking of Charlton Heston's "cold dead fingers" rather than what it means to folks round this way! lol

Another NRA from the Great Depression, one of the programs introduced by President FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT aimed at ending the Depression by stimulating the economy and putting people back to work

NRA: The National Recovery Administration was set up under the National Industrial Recovery Act. Its aim was to stabilize production and prices through government regulation of wages and working conditions. The symbol of the NRA campaign was a Blue Eagle thunderbird. Employers who signed NRA agreements were allowed to display the Blue Eagle at their businesses. Many business people opposed the effort as representing excessive government regulation.

Hey R! Here's an idea for another New Deal themed fedora, how about "The WPA". Check out this photo I found om-line. WPA workers in 1939 being sketched by artist.
