Came across this picture on facebook last night hope it helps.

That looks nice! I'm glad I took Aero's advice of going with the cordovan for my Bootlegger as it is very definitely more the look I wanted, but the cherry does look pretty cool too. I can see it being a good option if you wanted more of a 60s / 70s look to a mc or a cafe racer jacket, a la Lewises of that period.

And for what it's worth, if anyone else were interested, I asked Carrie at Thurston if Aero had developed an acceptable way to do a detachable collar, and she said no. She also said they've stopped putting sateen in the sleeves -- durability was an issue, but it sure made it easier to put on a jacket if you were wearing a sweater. Also, the corduroy hem lining is out, too.
