I think I meant a little LESS snap...sorry!

OK so I've searched through a bunch ye olde threads lurking in dark corner booths about the lounge but haven't encountered anything on how to REDUCE the snap on a brim.

I love my new little Akubra Hampton but am trying to "relax" it a bit to make it a bit less dressy and a bit more everyday.

Any tips on how I could flatten the brim a little?

I await your collective wisdom.

If you only want to flatten it a little, but want to keep the general curve, spray some cool distilled water on the underside of the brim and work it with your hands while watch tv (to avoid boredom).

Ditto that. I have yet to find water more trustworthy than distilled. Also, wearing a hat in a good rain offers a more natural means of getting wet, but it's not always convenient to wait... or to immediately sit down and work on your hat once you get someplace dry!
