What makes this suit worth $405 and many other suits quite similar worth about $100?

the plot thickens as I look at the seller's past listings and spy this...

how can a suit be worth 26 dollars one time and then jump to being worth 405 dollars? There must have been at least two people that wanted it very badly...However, I'm positive that there must have been another similar suit listed that could have been bought for much less....

IMHO - the first suit may appeal to a wider audience. I prefer the second for it cut and details, but the first is much closer in style to the "normal" suits of today. Three button pinstripe is a staple in our offices, and to find a well made suite in a decent fabric would make it quite appealing to many as an every day suit.
