A Goodson jacket I did some work to:

Yes, I purchased one of those cheap Goodson A-2s' extra large and:
Replaced the cheap zipper/slider
Had it dyed to MY color specs. (The unfinished leather lent itself well to this).
Added an embossed name tag and had Ack-Ack Designs reproduce my uncle's 81FG patch, for use on this and any subsequent jackets. The reason I got the jacket is that for it's erzats (your German word for the day) features, the PATTERN is very good. As near as I can tell, it's an I. Spiewak&Sons pattern. The pockets are not too close, thus pocket access is not blocked by "V" type harness, and the jacket is not too long. And when I climbed into the Stearman, got the harness adjusted, the jacket fit like a glove. Certianly I can afford +$500 jackets. But crafting this was more fun.

Mountain Pilot's newest A-2

Also, I sewed a Burma Blood Chit reproduction inside as a pocket with a pen slot sewn into the right side of the Chit, almost under the arm. This location works great. Anyway thanks for the rating.
