A Gentleman's Grooming Question: The Proper Style for Thick, Frizzy Hair?

A good friend of mine has thick, curly hair. He says it poofs like an afro if he doesn't tame it. He puts gel in it, and combs it into a part on the side, has the sides swept back, and a slight wave in the front, you'd never even know his hair was any more than wavy.

Maybe a barber who has a large clientele of African descent would be worth a try.

Lol, when was the last time you saw a black guy with an afro?
It's ironic, most of the folks with 'fros I've seen for years now have been of mostly European or or even Asian descent.

Most African American men go for very short looks.
