I love Manhattans and the variants of that amazing cocktail. One that is current favorite I learned from The Pour House in Vancouver, B.C. It's a Tequila Bijou. Purest might not agree that since the base alcohol is not bourbon or rye that it doesn't qualify but we can debate that later. Let's get on with it. The formula is:
Tequila Bijou
1 3/4 Cazadores Anejo tequila
3/4 Green Chartreuse
3/4 Punt E Mez vermouth
Stir the ingredients then strain into an old fashion glass or coupe. Then you will have a beautiful balanced, exquisite cocktail. Tonight mine is with one very large cube of ice. If using a coupe I'll add an orange twist as a garnish.
Enjoy!
