60s quality???

I found this jacket at Goodwill today and was surprised at the quality of the leather and workmanship. It fit me perfectly and for $7.00 I couldn't pass it up even though it really isn't my style. I'm pretty sure it's 60s, but I was always under the impression that by then, quality leather jackets were no longer being made. No brand label, only a size 42 label and one that says "genuine leather". The lining is in perfect condition and the leather is pretty heavy and only mildly broke in. The sleeves are two pieces, not scrapped together the way they are now. Any input and info greatly appreciated.

No reason why someone couldn't make a quality jacket during that time.
I bet there were plenty of fine ones coming out of Italy. But I am
surprised to see that very 40s sleeve cinch.

I'd be proud to wear a jacket like that. Very nice.

(It looks so much better being worn).

I know what you mean. When I saw it hanging up, it seemed kinda ugly to me, but then I put it on and I thought it wasn't so bad after all. I was going to sell it, but I may keep it after all. Thanks for the input.

Thanks Jack, I think the reason this jacket looks halfway decent is because of the way they tailored the body. It doesn't just hang straight down, it's sculpted inward as this close up shows. When it's just hanging up you can't see it, but when put on it contours to your body.
