Does anybody make a 50's khaki pants reproduction? I don't know if there's enough difference between a 50's khaki and a modern one to warrant a reproduction, except for the fit. I can't stand the modern slim fit. If anybody has a recommendation (with a cuff), I'd appreciate one. Thank you.

Have a look at this thread. I don't have experience with any of these brands but they certainly look the part.

I imagine the fit of 40s and 50s repros wouldn't be so different (?)

Thanks for the link. The ATF trousers are military reproductions and understandably look like uniforms. The Buzz Rickson trousers look more suitable to casual wear even though they are also military reproductions (officers vs. enlisted man?). Anyway, if someone has another suggestion (preferably with cuffs), feel free to throw it out there.

Keeping a front crease in cotton pants

Now that I'm buying vintage reproduction clothing, I'm finding that every pair of pants but jeans comes with a front crease. How do you all deal with the problem of keeping the crease, especially in cotton pants which is what I tend to buy? I'm so used to buying creaseless modern chinos. Thank you.

The summer khakis? How heavy are they?

Hi

I own two pair of the ATF Khaki pants, and they're a little heavier than my Cabela's 6 ounce Khaki pants. They're worn very well. I also suggest buying several pair of the Herringbone Twill First model pants. They're olive twill and are heavier than the Khaki's, but have the "normal" front and back pockets.

Just my $0.02

So you have to iron it every time you wash it? And then do you hang it from the cuffs?

Good news! Dickies says they are selling a "50's/60's" pants under the Dickies 1922 label starting in August/September. Maybe we'll have more options soon, though I hope it's the full cut, not the slim cut. Oh, and these won't have a center crease.
