40's Stetson Spade's - Shoelaces needed

I am in need of a pair of correct vintage laces for my 1940's Stetson Spades.
Round, Brown and 35 inches.

Can anyone help me out? I see some on e-bay that look correct but they are only 27 inches.

The cobbler lost one of my laces when I had the shoe in for service.[huh]

PM if you can help me out.

Thanks !!

Gene,

Thanks, they are a unbelieveable shoe....and for a early 1940's wow, I love them, now if I can only wear them.....and post a pic on the Lounge I'd be a happy man.

The 32 1/4 inch lace should work just fine.

Keep an eye out for 35's and give me a shout if you scrape up a pair.

What do I owe you for the laces? Let me know.

Later !

Tim

Ha! You owe me lunch if I'm ever in the Poconos. That is, if you can find a lunch place that only charges ten cents (that's probably what I paid for the laces!). Really, it's a small way for me to send a little good karma out there. I'll mail 'em tomorrow. Enjoy!

Why dont you have the cobbler replace them if he lost them

I'm betting it's because the the cobbler cannot replace vintage flat laces.

Estate sales and junktique shops are the best place to find flat laces, usually they're dirt cheap too. Keep trying eBay, though, something is bound to come up.
