2. Hot Wheels The original "sweet 16" from 1968 included a Chevy Camaro, a VW Bug, and a concept pickup called the Dodge Deora.
Yep, I had many of the original 1968-77 "Redliners" when I was a kid. They were so called because of the red sidewalls on the wheels. To this day I'm still an avid collector. One of the "Holy Grail" cars among the redliners that's much sought after by collectors is the Classic Cord, a 1937 Cord which was produced in 1971.
Unfortunately, I had a mint Snake & Mongoose race track with the little drag chute assembly at the end. I just out grew toys right then, [discovered girls, all down hill since] sold it for $0.50 at a garage sale! Sadly, I didn't have any of the cool lunch pales, we all carried the construction worker black pales, looked like a bunch of little construction workers going to the job sight!
I may need to see a doctor due to strain of the eyeball-rolling muscle.vintage radios were the iPods of their day
I'd like to see someone strutting down the street with a Majestic cathedral strapped on their back.
Are either of these close enough for you, Lizzie?

True story: In October 2008 I traveled to Ivanovo, Russia. Late one evening a few of us decided to go find something to eat, we found a cafe, and had omelette's (only thing we could read on the menu to identify what it was), coffee and tea. While walking back to our hotel circa 11 at night we were passed by a young Russian man with a stereo about that size playing I think it was "Red Hot Chili Peppers". Possibly one of the strangest sights I've seen in two trips to Russia. This kid couldn't have been born when the stereo he was blasting was manufactured...

Just plugging in and turning on a Catalin radio, sends the Catalin radio collectors into cardiac arrest.
