To ship with tracking (an eBay seller who doesn't do so is a moron - truly a wonderful way to launder money, saying something never arrived and had no proof of shipping), the number isn't too different from what it would cost to send such a suit from the UK to the USA. The difference is about £5. If you add insurance the difference is a matter of pence.
Shipping costs are very expensive, and as previously loss-making shipping providers - like Royal Mail, USPS, France Post, Deutsche Post, etc. - transition to a more competitive pricing structure, the prices have inevitably gone up a lot.
Yep, "competitive" doesn't always mean price wars anymore. Amongst privatized carriers the competition is for profit margins, which can mean competing to raise rates the least.Shipping costs are very expensive, and as previously loss-making shipping providers - like Royal Mail, USPS, France Post, Deutsche Post, etc. - transition to a more competitive pricing structure, the prices have inevitably gone up a lot.
