marineabilly said:I guess for some people... but since money is never an issue, I don't mind dropping that much scratch. I'm getting ready to drop over $1,500 on some kicks soon, too. Keep an eye out - i'll be posting them on my blog.:eusa_clap

mattfink said:Wait, didn't you write a blog about paying less for White's on eBay? LOL!!!
marineabilly said:That post was called "Beware - White's Semi-Dress Boots" to educate the reader on how to save a few bucks and in no way a reflection of any financial situation. :eusa_clap
djgo-cat-go, these are boots any collector would appreciate.
Cheers!!
mattfink said:Woahh...not sure where you getting any sort of statement or implication on your "financial situation" (which is none of my biz). Sorry if you took my comment the wrong way.
Cacatfish said:There is a place called the redwing shoe store over in South Dakota that has Semi Dress's for $342.
The website is lotsofboots.com.
I cant even really justify that much right now, but it was tempting.

From 2009. Very pricey on various sites around the net, but I got em pretty cheap on Ebay. I saw them in person at a Timberland outlet (not in my size) and freaked out!Feraud said:Nice. Are those recent models?
Man oh man, those are great boots! I am trying to get away from the black leather look that every one and their mothers seem to sport these days riding. Never mind I have been riding since the 60s. Just think brown is what I want now days!cbrunt said:Hi Gang,
After nearly 10 months wear and 6,000 miles since March (on two wheels and one bone-head wreck...) here are my 16" White's. Started as "Farmer-Ranchers" with request for 16" Height to replicate 1930-50s logger boots which was a popular style for motorcyclists, especially competition riders.
Specified they lace like 1930s Army issue Cavalry boots with hook-and-eye on outside of boot and grommets on inside (so as not to snag on tack). Wanted to replicate a pair worn by Mechanized Cavalry troops of the late 1930s too...
I love White's boots!

Pretty much! Never wore a pair of purple bell bottoms though, well, there is no photographic evidence, so no one can prove me wrong !cbrunt said:Yeah, black leather and bikers (i.e. Harley dudes and Metric Cruiser clones) is a truly epic cliché... riding since the 60s I'm sure you've seen every evolution of style from the denim days up to today's head-to-toe leather trend!!
