Very funny take on a couple travelling to Paris. Guy is American, The Gal French, & all the culture clash.
Has the funny jibber-jabber of a WoodyAllen film.

We're showing this starting October 5th, if anyone's planning a visit to Maine! We've been running the trailer for the past week, and it gets several big laughs, which bodes well.

I hadnt realized the actors playing the parents really are JulieDelpy's parents. Very funny depiction of bohemian parents.
It msutve been quite tricky to act with & direct your own parents.

Hi All--

I just got back from seeing this tonight and I'd really recommend a viewing. Vaugely Woody Allenish exploration of a neurotic couple and their equally odd friends. I can't really explain what the movie is about but it made me laugh consistently. Delpy is very strong and Goldberg is good--the parents pretty much stole every scene they were given.

I went and saw this over the weekend. It was really funny, a little bizarre, and quite enjoyable. If you like quirky movies, and you don't mind a lot of sex talk, then you'll enjoy this movie. Her parents were hilarious, and I don't think they were acting all that much

The visual with the Bastille Day balloons cracked me up--the boyfriend's disappointment that he wasn't the first. Several good one-liners too like "are these for children?!".

It is a really hard film to try and explain isn't it? Completely different genre but I felt that way with Tristam Shandy too--I laughed myself sick during that film but could I explain the plot or why I was laughing? Nope.
