Pretty sure they are asking where pattern 1885 Cavalry boots can be purchased from.

From a bit of searching on google, aside from an original pair that went for almost $1K at auction, there really doesn't seem to be anyone making them.

The closest thing I could find is this company . They have a gajillion heel/toe/height/ options, so maybe they could nail down the exacty styling you are after?

Caboots sells a lot of boot types all from scratch, but they can be pretty expensive. You can get what you want though, they have some nice custom design. Also some wild designs. The foot is pre made then built to the upper so as to cut down on make-order time. They never pre make anything to fit my size 13. I would love a tall soft brown leather engineer with a roper heel and sole. You might find something though.---John

I do make the 1885/1887 boot. Thanks to the loan of an original from a museum in Arizona and from the Peterkin collection at NPS along with the Q.M.D. drawings and specs.
I do however have a long waiting list. Sorry I couldn't help.

Our products are all handmade. Due to the increased demand for our fine footwear, all products will take 12 weeks to create and ship. No time guarantee on custom orders or new product development.
If you do not wish to wait however long it takes please do not order. If you like to check in with me before the shoes are done with weekly e-mails please do not order. If you live on the east coast and decide to call me at 7 am your time please go back to school and study longitude before you order. I am a custom boot and shoe maker who makes these one at a time by hand. I am also the only one in the world who bothers to spend weeks researching these products, days making patterns for them, and thousands of dollars in trial and error samples. If you are in a hurry please see if you can convince the manager at your local walmart to stock this line of footwear.

Love this guy!
