1980's Borsalino, Short hair finish, Grey, Sized 7-1/4 - 6 - 59

This is a nice grey, shorthair finish Borsalino I got from Daniele, our resident Italian hats expert. It ran too tight for me and hasn't been getting head time because of that issue. The liner is glued in place, so 1980's or so production according to Daniele.

The pictures show the grey felt, but not the green undertones that pop up in the shade. Very cool felt to be sure.

The crown ribbon has a couple wrinkles I tried to capture in the pictures. Nothing glaring, but they are there. The hat also has a wind trolley, which is always a nice touch.

This is offered with a used Borsalino box for $95 plus shipping to your address. Just to give an idea on shipping, USPS priority mail usually runs about $11-$12 for those on the west coast and about $17 - $18 for those on the east coast.

Important notes on size: I measured this hat the best I could and I get 7-3/4" front to back, and 6-1/2" side to side. According to this online calculator http://www.csgnetwork.com/circumellipse.html that gets us to about 22.47" in circumference, and that puts the actual size closer to a U.S. size between 7-1/8 to 7-1/4 and 57 cm to 58 cm.
