VINTAGE (1964/1965) RAINCOAT BY "BRIARCLIFF" NEW YORK CITY.

Made in Okinawa, Japan. Immaculate. A real "Time Machine" find!

Tagged 42R. Measurements:

Chest: 23 1/2
Sleeves: c. 34 (measured like a shirt)
Shoulder: N/A. (Raglan sleeves)
Length: 40

Although this coat dates from either 1964 or 1965, it is in immaculate condition--the same condition that it would be in had you travelled back to the mid 1960s, bought it, and brought it back!

It was made in Okinawa, Japan, by the New York raincoat company Briarcliff. It is a classic single-breasted Balmacaan raincoat of the sort that was so popular in the 1960s... and for good reason, with its sleek, elegant, stylish, classic silhouette.

This raincoat has a concealed placket to ensure a sleek, stylish appearence, raglan sleeves, and a single center vent. It has ornamental cuffs on the sleeves, and two deep slash handwarmer pockets. It still has all of its original spare buttons still attached.

The body is unlined, and so the coat is wonderfully lightweight--perfect for protection against showers in Spring and Summer! The sleeves, however, are lined (likely in rayon) for ease of wear.

It has no fabric content, but it is likely a blend of cotton and polyester--just like Burberry's coats!

It is in immaculate condition. I suspect that this has never been worn.

Asking just $39, or offer, boxed, shipped, and insured in the USA.
