I wanted to ask if anyone has information regarding vintage Schott flight jackets that were made in the 1950's. I am curious to know how the quality was on the older, vintage jackets and information on the design as compared to the modern Schott flight jacket.
One thing in particular that interests me on the Schott flight jacket is it's front pocket styling. It seems to have a pouch pocket like the A-2, but it is raised up higher and it also contains an angled slash pocket.
I would be very interested to see photos and to receive information regarding the vintage Schott flight jackets, especially the pocket styling, epaulets and knit cuffs.
Was Schott the most popular brand of non-authentic military styled flight jackets for the public? Or were there other really good brands that are no longer in business?
Thanks very much,
Striker
