1944 playing cards

Just got a deck of 1944 Pabst Blue Ribbon WWII playing cards that also happened to commemorate the 100th anniversary of PBR itself. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so I'll just toss up some photos. I'd like to learn Texas Hold'em in style. 66 years old and one of a kind. Got'em on eBay. I can't wait. Signed by somebody apparently important enough to sell by, though I don't recall who.

Cool cards!
I have a couple of vintage decks myself.

The above deck was just layered in cig smoke and yellowed. Took me two weeks to air them out. Im guessing late 20s.

The bottom deck are ladies cards prolly mid/late 30s. They were originally trimmed on gold leaf (worn off mostly) but these cards are 1/2" narrower than the above cards, you know, for the ladies small hands. These are my solitaire cards.

Those are really cool! Thanks for sharing some pics! I now realize some vintage playing cards are missing from my collection. I'll have to remedy that.

They no longer have the box, if that makes a difference, though, I did pay 38.00 for them, so you still have a point. I have two regular decks of cards, so I imagine I'll compromise and these will see only light use. I've never been one for buying useful things for display only. If I owned Bogart's trenchcoat from Casa Blanca, for example, I'd probably wear it. Just how I am.
