Great thread! As I looked through the catalog

thinking, "Oh, yeah. That one and that one and that one." I realized that those jackets are still being made. By Aero.

A Hercules and a modified Bootlegger (I liked the buckle cuffs on Ronald Reagan's capeskin, p144 and had them added). The price has gone up a little since 1942, true, but, the jackets are still available.

Really good archive stuff. What is capeskin?

While I am no tanner, philologically speaking, I'd say, "goat".

Oh how I hate email shorthand. The laughing smiley above was actually typed as l.o.l (without the periods). I wasn't laughing out loud, but typing philo logically.

The Aviator jacket has to be one of the best designs I have seen yet.. Definately going on my list of jackets to figure out how to make...

Thanks for posting, this is amazing!!

Fortunately Spiegel and Sears are still in business...I'm placing my order. Mark (fishmeok), drop me a line when you get into these patterns, in case the're out of stock. You know I want you to build me one. You've got my email.
