1941 US ARMY TUNIC
Half-belt at rear, bi-swing back, in excellent condition!
40L. Measurements:
Chest: 20
Waist: 18 (measured across third button)
Sleeve: 26 1/2 (+1)
Shoulder: 18
Length: 32
This is wonderful--and in absolutely excellent condition.
Made by the Progressive Manufacturing Company and completed on October 3, 1941, this is a standard-issue Army tunic.
Cut from robust wool in olive drab, this features four button-down pockets at the front and a four-button front closure. All of the buttons are intact and original, and were made by Waterbury of Conn.--the same company that supplied buttons to both the Union and Confederate armies during the Civil War.
The tunic has a half-belt at the rear and a fully functional bi-swing back. It has a single center vent.
It is quarter lined.
Apart from a single pinhead hole on one sleeve--safely ignored as it's so small and t won't be seen when worn--this is in absolutely excellent condition. It does have a small stencil on the lining, as shown.
