The quality in this jacket is simply breathtaking. This is part of what I like about searching out and finding old garments, often one finds quality touches and craftsmanship you just don't find on modern garments. In this case I'm especially impressed by the double layer of wool, with the inner lining being of a different pattern than the the outer layer. But small details abound on this piece. From the hidden Talon Zipper placket with hidden buttonhole, to the heavy flannel pocket linings, every little detail screams quality, and the fact that is has survived 70 or so years in this condition also speaks volumes. The double layer wool makes this a very warm cosy jacket. I would put it at about a size 40. I'm a 42, and it fits me a little snug.

P.S. the light was nice, so I decided to shoot this outside, but it was also snowing, hence the white streaks in the photos.

Mr. Sharpman says: "Shhhh! Be vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits."
