Killer steel blue gabardine; the best!
deep belly lapels
Classic 1940s cut, wide shoulders with pinched waist
three patch pockets
dropped belt looped
Pleated
talon zip with snap closure
Classic high waisted fit with a full cut in the seat and thigh

Dated 8-27-1949
Measurements:
Shoulders: 19 inches
Chest: 21 inches pit to pit
Sleeve: 25 inches with 2.5 inches extra
Total Length: 31.5 inches

Waist: 34 inches (originally a 32 inch waist)
Inseam: 30.5 inches with 1.75 inch cuffs and 2.5 inches to let out.

That's a smooth suit.
To bad its two inches two small on the slacks and one on the chest.
