Andrew, what do you make of this rare jacket?

Andrew used to own it - he stated 1940s vintage, not '30s, based on the zip.

It'll be interesting to get his perspective. You wonder if this jacket was re-branded.

I think re-lined rather than re-branded?
I was also interested, but it's too trim in the chest for me.

The jacket had an original M41 Talon zip on it when I had it indicating that it could not have been made earlier than 1941. It has not been relined, only at the neck. These jackets were made by Gordon and Ferguson for Karl Ort to sell by mail order or through their store. The throat latch is similar to 1930s jackets. You do not see many Karl Ort A2s around suggesting the production number was low.
