1930s-40s Fair-Isle design

Does anyone know if Fair-Isle sweaters were also made with high/thick waistbands and high/thick cuffs (I suppose more like a vintage college sweater)? I can seem to find any examples ( for men, I mean:I can only seem to find them for women )

I have that sweater from Darcy, and I expect I'm going to love it once it starts getting cold again. From other threads here, I'd say that vintage Fair Isles are pretty easy to find here and there. The hand made ones are nice, but there are plenty of inexpensive machine made styles as well.

yes, Ralph Lauren do some nice Fair isles (I found one today for $1650... (!) )

It's such a classic design (especially the 1940s vest style) I'm surprised that they aren't more readily available...

I guess I'll keep hunting!
