Another tiny jacket. Seller calls it a 35, but according to the measurements it should be 34?

With a 37" chest circumference, it's definitely not a size 35. The notion that jackets should only have 2" of "ease" is pure mumbo jumbo. If a jacket fits that snuggly, there's barely enough room for an undershirt, shirt, and tie -- let alone your wallet, pocket contents or a sweater...

Guttersnipe, vintage British suits are closer to the body than American suits (assuming we're talking 30s-40s, not early 20s).
3" is the standard amount of ease room in an off the peg Burtons, CC41, demob suit or similar. 2" though is doable over a shirt, for a very fitted, but acceptable look.

we have a bit of another US / UK taste divide here.

3 -4 inches is the magic number for me. With less than 3 you start to see dramatic distortion from pulling on the buttons. Obviously some people want just that, like Tom Ford for example.
