British jacket probably from between mid-1930s and mid 1940s.

Midnight navy, but appears black unless under bright light. Best representation of colour in photo no.1
Striking wide horizontal peak lapel design which is very rarely seen today.
Heavy gabardine like cloth, and soft, thick satin lining.

Condition
It has been dry cleaned, so no nasty odours.
There is some shine around the edges, and a slightly lighter streak across one of the sleeves. Not obvious, the flash exaggerates these.
Repairs (by me) to three holes - please see photos. They are quite small and discreet.
One cuff edge had worn through, and I have stitched it closed. It is on the inner side of the sleeve and not very visible, but you may want have the sleeves slightly shortened as a more permanent solution.

Will fit between a 43 and 44
Please examine the following
measurements:
  • armpit to armpit: 23.5 inches
  • shoulders: 19.5
  • sleeves: 25 inches from shoulder
  • overall length from bottom of collar: 28.5.

Short, but the sleeves are a regular length, so it's probably fashionably so for the 1930s. Here is a still from 'Rules of the Game'
