Now that's strange. When I contacted that same seller over the trousers/waistcoat combo I bought from him he was very quick to answer my questions. Maybe he's absent for a few days?

I've also asked whether there is any excess in the leg that could be let down, just in case there are any taller, longer-limbed, gentlemen out there (maybe in Germany?) who might be interested in the suit.

I already took a good look at the suit but since the trousers are not cuffed I have very serious doubts that they could be let out to the 34" I'd need.

Well -.reply is that the suit is now in storage and cannot be checked / measured. But to go with the 38" size.

the model is 38 chest, 32 waist and it looks a good fit. Anyone larger would be taking a big risk.
