1920s Burn Out Silk Velvet Dress

This is a fantastic 1920s dress. It is a black burn out silk velvet dress. It does not have any labels. It has little snaps with a bow on the wrists. It just goes on over the head, no zippers or snaps.

It’s in very good condition for its age. It does have a couple trouble areas. When I got the dress it had 3 holes in the left shoulder. I have repaired those and you wouldn’t know they were even there unless you looked for them. There in a small hole in the back on the bottom solid silk area. I had planned to just cut off and re-hem, but it really isn’t noticeable with a slip on underneath. It just goes on over the head.
