Wonderful!:eusa_clap And I love the Summer Togs shown from 1939! $3.95 for the Riviera trouser-shirt set; that'd be about $60 today, perhaps even more. That wool sport coat would now retail for at least $120, and wouldn't be as well-made. As I've said before, we don't see many examples of casual wear from (and therefore don't associate them with) the pre-war era, but they did exist...

Very nice, I especially like the use of a bush jacket for casual wear and the extra wide "sports trousers".

Thanks!

Ahh! Even converted to modern dollars, that is ridiculously cheap compared to what you'd have to pay retail for that kind of quality today. If you find that time machine, lend it to me as well!

Great scans! The last two pages are also reproduced in Everyday Fashions of the Thirties (see Amazon), which is basically an eite collection of pags from Sears catalogues throughout the 30s. Other volumes exist for all 20th Century decades up to the 60s, I believe - I just last weekend took delivery of the 30s, 40s and 50s volumes. REally useful resources. The only drawback is that the quantity of men's clothing in them is much more limited than that for women, but then I suppose that's reflective of the originals.
