c.1900s Stetson "Extra Light Weight" long hair fedora
This size 7 1/2 is amazing for its quality and the shape it is in after nearly 100 years.
This Stetson is a beautiful (and rare) golden brown color, with a 2-3/8 inch, box-style ribbon.
The felt is finished in a long hair plush style.
Collectors often call them "hairy" hats. The original price tag of $12 is still affixed and that was fairly expensive in a day when average hats were often only about $5 to $10.
The sweatband in still firmly sewn in and the leather is soft and supple.
The photos show some of the moth bites on the underside of the brim and on the crown, but because this is a hairy hat, they aren't much of a distraction, and this hat is completely wearable.
Brim: 2 1/2"
Open Crown: 5 1/2
LxW head opening: 8" x 7"
Circumference: 23.5"
$300 shipped O.B.O
