Pre-WWI (1914) Peschel Velour Soft felt
this hat is extremely rare. Early Peschel hats are hard to come across, and being brown is even harder. the hat has no moth damage at all, and the velour felt is amazing to the touch. The austrian velour felt is regarded to be some of the finest velour in the world.
The hat has a new sweatband and hat ribbon (did not have a ribbon when i recieved the hat a few years back. The replacement was done by Art Fawcett, a renoun hat maker). I have the original sweatband, and photographed it as well. truly a remarkable piece.
The hat fits me comfortably as a 7 1/8
