100X Cheyenne by Resistol or LARRY MAHAN INDEPENDENCIA 100X FUR FELT or Stetson El patron?

How the 100x is reliable in the above companies. I understand that stetson is 30x but its stetson...
Are there any other hats you can recommend?

Personally, in that price range I'd go with a 100% Beaver hat made by a local hatter. I've seen some really nice western hats, true 100x Beaver felt, for less money with a handmade hat from a hatter... plus, you know it's going to fit perfectly.

I would buy 100% all natural beaver like others have said but if you want a western hat I would go to a hatter that makes western hats exclusively. I happen to like the Old West Collection but Ritch Rand makes traditional, classic, buckaroo, & cattleman styles also.

Mike is my hatter of choice. I don't like to tell him but for the quality of his work he is waaaay too cheap. I have 4 of his hats and all are top quality and he followed my instructions to the T. I could not be more pleased with my hats.
