Our if their minds but I’m sure they will sell out because I say the same thing about some of the crazy boots at extreme prices they offer

Seriously though, don't they realize that the market is overflowing with virtually exact same 80's trash jackets!? I know Standard and Strange is a scam but there can't possibly be anyone falling for this junk!

I wanted to say something about anyone buying this jacket is an idiot but you're actually 100% right on this; They're not an idiot - They're an asshole. Every single thing on Standard and Strange (and Clutch Cafe) looks as if it is made by assholes, for assholes.

I mean, who the HELL would buy these shoes!? I swear to God, my grandma had the exact same pair.

Horrible with the extreme artificial aging, looks like you could take a 5 star jacket AB’s just wash 50 times and get something similar, I’m sure sandpaper was involved in the makings of this jacket

I would like to visit a Standard & Strange store for the experience because I don’t have anything like that where I live, just to try some of these brands on in person to see if anything off the rack would fit me out if curiosity.

A lot of Rolling Dub Trio boots are on a EBay like new, and at extreme prices. These front zip boots look like diabetic shoes.
The Chelsea boots they make are nice but expensive!!!

well you are not the target audience, that center backseam on bigger size type 2 is exactly what denim enthusiasts want, don't know why since the back panel is just flat cost optimizing panel not shaped at all to follow the spine but they want that over smaller size that doesn't have it.

Hey now, the folks at Standard and Strange are really nice people. That’s about as far as I can go in their defense on this one. I totally agree that the jacket in question was absolutely made by assholes for assholes.

I think you would enjoy the store. I stop in there every six months or because it is nice to put my hands and eyes on things that otherwise I would only read about here. I usually leave without buying anything because it is all really expensive and most of it doesn’t fit me.
I have bought four pairs of Wesco boots from them and I have always found them to be friendly, interested, and helpful.

Those Visvim prices are really getting ridiculous. I found some as new Visvim selvedge jeans on Australian Ebay for AU$80 (US$50, probably a fluke) and I bought them just to check out the hype.
To be honest, in my opinion they're at the same level as Uniqlo selvedge in terms of fabric quality and construction.

Then I look them up on the inter-webs and found that someone was selling on Grailed the same pair I have for AU$1.200!

If anybody wants to pay that to me for them jeans I'll gladly sell them, I'll take care of the shipping worldwide too...

Actually I was really having the same thought!

Literally looks like and '80's Mall jacket that was re-dyed and sanded, given a poor artificial aging processing and then sent to the shop floor. Not a purchase I would make...

I’ve seen those YouTube videos where they take jeans and sand and process them to look distressed, I can picture the same exact thing. A huge pile of these $10k jackets stacked up waiting to be sanded down and tossed into another pile.

No way they are doing what makers here like Field Leather does on his video clips, taking their time with super slow stitching, one jacket at a time, looking and studying it hanging on a mannequin deciding how to attach the sleeves for fit and function and rotation.
