    Keep it. Do not snap the bottom snap. Get a thinner belt and buckle combination. That way your pants will not be pushed down by the thick leather and buckle when the jacket hem is fastened.

    I have both LL Bean and Sorel. Like the Sorel better. The heel and sole is a lot more durable. LL Bean no longer stands behind the boots. You used to be able to trade the worn out boots in for a new free pair every year. Not anymore.
