That looks incredible on you! I don’t suppose you have the measurements of it to hand?

Brooks Gold Label Cafe Racer Repro

Agreed, I think it was one of TMitchell’s videos that drew me to the Brooks as it looked very lightweight and easy to wear. It’s also a reason I feel approaching Aero is the best choice, not only because they have their BR jacket as a baseline but my own personal experience with their Vicenza...

Brooks Gold Label Cafe Racer Repro

The actual fit of the BR in size 38 is perfect for me so I don’t intend to tamper with dimensions other than sleeve & body length to closely mimic a Brooks. I’m lucky in the aspect that Aero base their fits on someone my weight & height! In contrast I found their CR doesn’t fit me that well...

Brooks Gold Label Cafe Racer Repro

That’s spot on, and a beautiful looking jacket!

Brooks Gold Label Cafe Racer Repro

Evening folks, A slightly different thread from the normal that I’m hoping you can help me with. Ive owned two Aero Leather Board Racers and whilst both have been impeccably made jackets, there’s always been ‘something’ that wasn’t quite right about the styling. Both jackets were specced based...

New jacket day! Aero Board Racer / Abyss Blue Bainbridge

Proportions look spot on in terms of length, I see far too often Board Racers with sleeves & body length too long (in my opinion) but yours looks spot on with the raised zipper stop falling around your belt line. Makes me want to consider ordering another BR, I’ve already had 2 from Aero......

Aero jacket - some leather advice please

I’d say the lining has more influence on the warmth of a jacket than the leather, considering I’ve had CXL & Vicenza jackets in different seasons and they were no warmer or cooler than each other.

That looks great! Seal? Dark seal?

Aero COVID waiting times - 1930's Slimfit

Aero typically overestimate processing time but that’s good as you’re hardly going to be disappointed if they say 12 weeks and it turns up in 4. I think the longest I’ve waited is 6 weeks and the shortest is 10 working days, albeit this was a year ago. However in the current climate I wouldn’t...

Aero Ridley / J106 Repository Thread

This essentially resonates what Denny told me last year when I asked about the Ridley when in the showroom as admittedly I did find the situation somewhat confusing. His explanation was that the Ridley was a specification/configuration that could only be bought through Thurston, however a...

Aero Hookless - solid brass or?..

Interesting! How old is this jacket? Very odd how the OP has a brass slider wearing to silver (zinc) and you have a nickel slider wearing to copper.

Aero Hookless - solid brass or?..

I stand corrected The old ‘Made in X’ is a tedious debate, though the official view from the Federal Trade Commission is that the item must be “all or virtually all” made in the USA but this can simply be that final assembly occurred there. Anyway, back to the original posters subject...

Aero Hookless - solid brass or?..

I’m assuming Aero uses Japanese made Talon hardware, I wasn’t aware repro Talon’s were still made in the USA?

Aero Hookless - solid brass or?..

This is probably a casualty of the times we live in with cost reductions, lean manufacturing optimisation and globalisation. Your average joe customer won’t particularly care what his zipper is made from and his only consideration would be “do I want silver or gold hardware” so no doubt Waldes...

Aero Hookless - solid brass or?..

To add further to your question, the rest of the zip construction appears to be brass (see bottom of linked page): http://www.waldes.co.jp/open2.html Nowhere else on the site does it state zinc die-casting for the slider other than here where it stipulates the two processes of which a metallic...
