New Aero Premier Highwayman = Perfection

Oh man, I'm just seeing all of these posts. That's awesome that @handymike ended up with the jacket! It is a beauty and fits him great! I ended up getting another PHWM that is perfect for me, so I'm very happy the original jacket ended up in great hands. These Aeros are pure amazing... Now you...

Aero perfection again! My new Board Racer arrives...

Color is very stable - slight fading on tops of creases at elbows. I haven't worn it as much as I would like - I end up wearing my CXL PHWM in the colder weather (it's larger so I layer under it). The BR is def tighter fitting. I ordered a 38, but my jacket is probably more like a 40. If I...

Aero perfection again! My new Board Racer arrives...

Thanks for the comments, guys, this is just a standard BR with the brass Talon zippers. Yes, I did request angled pockets. I need to post new pics, it's getting better and better with each year. :)

Aero perfection again! My new Board Racer arrives...

@Fanch, thanks for your kind words. I'm definitely familiar with your jackets & posts. They helped me quite a bit in figuring out styles and how they looked in the real world. Your BR description sounds like a real winner. if you don't order that jacket, I just might have to! ;)

Aero perfection again! My new Board Racer arrives...

Hey GoAround, apologies for the delay. Here are my measurements: I'm 6', 155 lbs. My chest ranges from 40 - 42 inches (fully expanded with breath & depending on working out/ the season) I wear a 38/40 in most everything off the rack. I ordered my BR in size 38 with 26.75" sleeves and 25.5" back...

Aero perfection again! My new Board Racer arrives...

Hey guys, I'm still here. Yes, I've had to lay low as I'm up to my eyeballs in home renovations and other projects. I've been meaning to post some break in shots. The jacket is aging beautifully, but unfortunately in my insanity, I ended up ordering a total of 3 Aeros since I joined the TFL. (I...

Thurston Italian Vicenza Horsehide Full Grain Veg.-Tanned Horsehide for Aero Jackets

Jesus, Carrie! Why do you have to keep posting things like this that make people regret decisions they labored over for months and were happy with... This jacket is one of the nicest I've seen. And I'm wary of cream/white. Wow.Beautiful.

Before getting an Aero Board Racer - things to consider.

That is a gorgeous BR - well worth the wait, it seems! Congratulations

Aero Board Racer Comparison Size 40 v 42

The 2 different types of leather will make a huge difference in fit (as you know). No need to scrutinize, each jacket fits great and has it's own look. Like others have said, don't impose age restrictions/expectations on yourself, you're fit and look a few years younger than you are, enjoy it...

New Aero Premier Highwayman = Perfection

They are very different leathers: The FQHH is a thicker, stiffer, more weather resistant & restrictive fitting jacket that will take years to gain the flexibility (if it ever can) of Vicenza. The Vicenza is sublime - I'm sorely tempted to order a PHWM in black Vicenza as I love the hide so much...

Julie Leitch 25 years at Aero Leather

Julie made my glorious Premier Highwayman and it's a work of art. Seriously, the skill needed to manipulate and flawlessly sew CXL is nothing short of pure artistry. I express my deepest thanks and pride in owning one of her pieces. Congratulations Julie! You've made a lot of people very happy!

    Aero FQHH concern

Yes, I'm in process of sending the jacket back to them. I didn't want to start a scrutinizing campaign here. I haven't even worn this jacket out of the house and it was showing discoloration. It's a beautiful jacket and I'm sure some people would love to have their jacket wear this quickly - I...

    Aero FQHH concern

Thanks for the great input here, fellows. I've been in touch with both Carrie and Denny and we are in the process of sorting it all out. Denny wants to see the jacket, so it's going back to Aero. I'm very confident we'll get this happily resolved. In the meantime, I've got my gorgeous BR to...

    Aero FQHH concern

Yes, it's pretty disappointing when things develop issues, but I'm confident we'll be able to sort it out. I'm just happy that I splurged and ordered a vicenza board racer as well, so I have something to wear this fall. The vicenza BR is beyond description - it's a superlative jacket & hide!

    Aero FQHH concern

Whew, thanks guys. I've already written her. A couple of members have PMed me and have helped tremendously. Yeah, all the samples I received of FQHH were these glossy, juicy, smooth colors - really beautiful. No nap at all. From the beginning I was disappointed that my jacket wasn't as shiny...
