    Very true! You can see that the Chopper I posted above was already slouching its way into a fall when I took the photo. Some of them have real staying power, though, when that LW was new, it could stand on its own for hours at a time.

    I have found that across zip that is large enough to wear comfortably zipped often looks a little loose or sloppy when unzipped. If you normally wear your jacket unzipped then this might be a kind of fit if you are looking for.

    Filson makes a nice backpack and if you can pick one up during one of their sales then the price is more reasonable. https://www.filson.com/journeyman-backpack-20282278.html I would avoid the model with the leather shoulder straps as those are rather uncomfortable even for a short wear.

    Me too, I almost wish they wouldn’t provide a timeline, but if that were the case, nobody would ever order from them. I’ve had a couple of makers (Langlitz and Wesco) deliver the product in half the promised time, that was a very pleasant surprise.

    It’s definitely harder for some of us… My first two custom orders were both Aero’s through Thurston Brothers and the wait just about killed me. It was not until I had at least four or five custom orders under my belt that I was able to relax and just wait for it.

    Yes, I still own the IH Storm Rider and your description is spot on. I own a number of jackets from them and they all fit well with the exception of this one. The narrow shoulders and high armholes make it painful to wear.
