I came to hats later in life. I bought a leather Aussie style hat, a Tilly hat, and an oiled cotton hat a couple of years ago, then moved into nicer fedora and panama style hats in the last year. Now I am seldom away from home without a hat on my head!

I grabbed a couple of nice vintage Dobbs hats at a local flea market this weekend. A "15" and a homburg. Each was basically new, and in their original old boxes. I need a silver belly or two, and some brown tone hats, but I just couldn't pass on these black ones!

I wore a Tilley for a while, along with a waxed cotton crushable outback style hat. Always loved fedoras, but just never really thought much about wearing them until recently.
I'm not too much into the "western" look, so I hope that I can shape it into a nice fedora style without too much difficulty. It should be here in the next few days. Probably early next week, according to the USPS tracking #.
