So... I became very active in the hat section here many years ago. This place helped stoke my love for fine, vintage fedoras, and eventually I started refurbishing them as a hobby. I stripped beat up hats, cleaned them, sewed in sweatbands, made ribbons, etc.
Those days are long gone. I have...
My whole family bought hats at Goorin in San Fran last summer. A bit overpriced, but we're happy with them. We didn't really plan to buy them, but I made the trip without a hat. After getting scorched the first day, I realized going hatless in the sun was no longer an option.
Mine is white or...
My approach to my Akubras has been less subtle. I fill the sink with tap water and dunk 'em. After a thorough soaking I pull the hat, dry it off slightly with a towel and then work the felt. Finally, I shape and set to dry.

Have decided to stick with the sale. I have a tentative deal lined up with the first person who sent a PM, offering to buy. If you want to get in line, should that sale not happen (although I fully expect it to), feel free to send a message.
Thanks, all!

Don't know if it's wearable, but the inner circumference is about 21...
I don't have any hard data to back this up, but it seems to me that the market is a little down right now. A good time to buy. A less than ideal time to sell.
