Honestly, I'd say it runs TTS except for the sleeve length. I'm 5'9, so the sleeves fit me fine, but most size 42's would probably need longer sleeves. These Type 1's are supposed to fit pretty boxy, so I have plenty of room but it still looks great.
I have a High Large Type 1 (it's called the Oklahoma). The leather is very cool, but I don't think it's Shinki and it isn't super-thick. It isn't thin but it certainly isn't super heavy.

You are smart to be content with that jacket - it looks great on you! No need for another leather jacket...but a coon skin cap would be a fine addition.
Size 40 Himel Canuck in Harris Tweed. Size 40 but a slim 40 and a bit small for me. $400 shipped CONUS. Very good condition. P-P = 21-inches, Shoulder = 18.5 inches, BOC 27.5 inches, Sleeve 24.5 inches, bottom of jacket 21 inches. While the liner may appear purplish, it is just navy blue.
New jeans usually fit pretty tight in the waist when new. If they fit perfectly when new, they'd be falling off you once they break in a bit. I personally don't find the sizing off enough to expect a full refund. They aren't made of leather, they're cotton and will stretch a bit.
