Thanks
Thanks guys for the info. I already have some picards, but i'm thinking the jacket needs to be cleaned first and i was reading about saddle soap or neatsfoot oil. I don't think it's ever had any of that and the last thing i wanna do is harm it. I'll get pics soon as I can.
Hi guys, I'm trying to fit into an original WWII Bronco.. but it needs some TLC and care...as the hide in some places is cracked and dry. The last Bronco I had received some treatment with gliptone...however this one is not in as bad shape and has been well looked after much better than the...
Thanks guys, I know of a star with a back length of 26 inch but the chest is 23.5 which should be ok... maybe if I get lucky and get one to get me by till i can find a 44 Bronco? :)
re: a-2 sizing
hi guys, sorry it's taken me a bit to reply but working nights.... Coffee, I'm in sunny Hoddesdon bout 40 min from London.. near Hertford.
Aswatland, I agree with your statement, hence my sale of the jacket.... Everyone here is correct, and I really appreciate the advice...
A-2 sizing
Hi 61, Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it...and yes I do have the khakis, shirt, t-shirt... The jacket is quite nice but if you can see the side view how the back sticks out at the bottom, (due to the over size), and the front looks a bit pudgy in the sides. But then I'm my own...
Hi All, As some of you know I purchased an Eastman Roughwear 27752 last year and though it fit great as I had it custom done, I've sold it while looking for an original A-2 from WWII. The Bronco I got was bigger than my roughwear, but not having the funds to get one while keeping the other, I've...
I'm wondering how rare these are??? I happened to get this one recently but I'm a bit confused about the size and wondering if I need to keep it or sell it and get one a bit tighter. I'm a 44 chest and this one, fits like a 46, though the pit to pit at the back measures 25 inches :-/ Length is...
RE: Werber G-1
May I ask if you got a 44, what chest size are you and does it fit well? I've been trying to get one of these but I was told they come up small. Thanks I have an Eastman G-1 that's great but me being prior service USN I'm wanting a pre issued one...
Andrew, Thanks for answering this one... Greg, sorry for the delay but been off radar for a bit. It's a bit pricey, but you won't regret it... I've seen them on Ebay but you don't know how it's going to fit you... My only recommendation is don't go for the time worn option... it's ok to have it...
Beaver Brand impressions
Just to add, My hat that was sent back to the states to be "repaired" still hasn't showed up to the dealer I bought it from... we're talking 5 months and I've been out over $350.00 when I "should" have a hat. Coming from Arkansas I believe highly in supporting our...
To be honest, I've got a Roughwear 27752 jacket from Eastman in Horse hide and it's the absolute finest jacket I've ever had. Comfortable, warm, bit stiff but feels good on the body. Have a look at my other posts.
Thanks guys, Yeah I'm a lot happier now with it... in fact, thinking of getting another one in a 44L which will only be a half inch longer... However, I've tried this on with the chinos, and it's spot on as it is... It's got a lovely grain to it though, and I've just put conditioner on it before...
To all the guys here who have requested pics of this fine work of art... sorry it's taken me a while but here they are. PS: The sizing issue isn't an issue anymore, I'm thinking the sleeves could do with another half inch off but as it is, it's great and looks spot on with chino's both dockers...
Sorry guys for the delay on the pics. As you can see I've scuffed up the right rear shoulder and not sure how to sort it or even if I should bother... gotta say though, it's TOUGH hide. Hope you like the pics.
Appologies guys for not getting the requested pics posted as of yet but when I get my camera back I'll make it a priority.... In addition, I'm wondering what kind of leather conditioner to use for the color match on this horse... as well as covering a few ermmmm scratches aquired on the shoulder...
