Twenty may be plenty, and a Premier brings up the rear? Another (newer) Knox of the same colors, also a favorite scheme of mine. Top photo is by LED light, the 2nd is by window daylight.
Good golly, Gareth! That’s the first brown one I’ve ever seen in our size, sir. You really should be pleased as punch!
Lucky, lucky, lucky!!
Congratulations!
I can only try to catch up with the hat greatness posted around here. Here’s a Custom Hatter of Buffalo stingy finished in 2012. This hat was created from new old stock of felted edge Borsalinos that Gary was correctly rumored to possess. I jumped at the chance to have a genuine vintage...
I was only a ham wannabe, but a committed Dx-er using US military surplus receivers. At the time I was interested in the area, Morse code knowledge (proficiency?) was required to be licensed. CB was much easier to start up, then I found other interests.
Do you know Morse code?
As usual, SUPER post Steve, thank you! Here’s a Hochstrasser cousin up our way with some super skills in other shrinking markets. This man is remarkable! https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/advice-needed-restoring-old-military-fie-d-telephone.83365/#post-1991530
Super example, Joe. Some (10?) years ago, Perry (@hatophile ) and I met up to visit the tiny hat museum in the town where that hat was made, Amesbury, Massachusetts. Very cool...
I’m always awestruck by your Sunday posts, Stefan. But today, your hats have hit new heights, raised the bar, even elevated your image; a tall order!! The topper is a head and shoulders winner today IMHO.
Well, HAPPY Birthday, Bob! This is the one where you dance all the way up the driveway when your new Medicare card arrives.
I covet that resistol. My bush burner is a 15 yr old Stetson “Packard” with nowhere near the wonderfulness of yours.
Don’t light the tire, but have a great day.
Still cold out, but our hearts are warm.
Regular ol’ Stetson today, probably from the late 50s. I really like this “every day, every man” lid.
The stitching of the overwelted brim is a funky dusty reddish color, but impossible to tell.
Enjoy the weather!
Do the right thing.
