That's a lot of jacket for 240. Too bad it's prohibitively expensive for them to import more top end leathers. I think a lot of people would be in for a shinki or horween buco at even twice that price. We went from pocketgate to outdoor fit pics in the blink of an eye.- cbez

One interesting thing to me is the sleeve pattern. It's shaped to sit in a natural arm position and if you go fully straight it has a pronounced elbow bulge.- cbez

Think I broke my streak of questionable purchases with this A-1. Aniline horsehide, nice grain and impressive workmanship throughout. The pattern is good looking too. That was nice of them to help you on the value. I understand why sellers don't want to, if anything happens during shipping good luck telling the shipper your $200 jacket was actually $1500.- cbez

Viberg - any other horrible experiences?
I'm not saying it's not a thing, but most of the time it's being applied to normal creasing like OPs pair that just happens to be more coarse than they want. You can see in all the other guidi calf examples that it creases pretty consistently like that.- cbez

It's a very crease happy leather to the point that it gets some during the patterning and lasting process. No big deal. The whole boot will have identical creases in a month. I remember I used to be like eww at the lasting marks on engineer boot vamps. It's just part of the process. If you...- cbez

The picture I highlighted of the stock boots shows very similar, fairly coarse graining to your pair in the exact same place. Could easily be mistaken for your pair. All the other used guidi calf pairs I could find showed very pronounced creases. This is just the characteristic of this leather...- cbez

You can see almost identical creasing in their stock photo. I would guess it's a result of lasting with this leather.- cbez

I looked up some used guidi calf and it seems to primarily do this heavier creasing. None of this is 'loose grain' its just how this leather creases. I still say at this price point they should do returns/exchanges regardless. But saying they're defective etc is kind of silly.- cbez
