SiZE is marked 48 but VANSON comet runs small so it's a 25" armpit to armpit, and really like a large 44...

First off, let me say, aero does nOt make a ‘luftwaffe’ version...of aNything...I did however order a Highwayman horsehide with all options that would be as close to a luftwaffe jacket as possible...from the photos of the Highwayman it seemed it was basically a ‘hartmann luftwaffe’ in basic...

being the rah rah guy of buying U.S., and liking uswings cuts and general craftsmanship, i was rather saddened by how my transaction to buy a g-1 milspec jacket there ended...

i bought a size 50 (stock size) vanson mercury jacket on ebay...surprisingly the large size is almost a perfect fit chest/shoulders at 26 1/2"" armpit to armpit, but the waist is too big at 46" all around...this jacket does NoT have...

i didn't think they made schott perfecto motorcycle jackets the way i like them, basically with a snap down a-2 style collar...never seen one like this, just had to win it on ebay...now that i did i'm wondering if anyone can identify it (year, model, etc)?

one element of g-1s and a-2s i've never heard addressed on the LounGe here, except obliquely when referring to rushed or poor work quality on original ww2 a-2s, is that of pocket spacing...
i see quite a few, if not most, a-2s and g-1s with some sort of pocket spacing variance from 'perfect...
really sad to have gotten a new g-1 from one of the major military jacket makers today and finding they attach their tag (on those plastic strands) punched through the leather of the sleeve...
never seen that before...every jacket (from this company in the past and other companies always) has...

to begin, i got a sporty's horse a-2 made a few years ago (post ww2 style)with full military specs...it is perhaps my favorite of all jackets...superb fit and construction...
i wanted a true spec anj-3 for my collection...not the uswings pseudo version (no windflap!), and other stuff out there...
