What seperates "golden era" from "midcentury"?
In Europe, it may be different, or maybe my opinion is just different. I think the Golden Era and Mid-Century overlap, beginning after WWII and ending with the start of the British Invasion.- AtomicEraTom

I have a few "Yard Long" Calendars from Pabst Malt Extract and Schlitz Beer from the latter part of the 19th Century and the early part of the 20th Century. I think they make for neat advertising.- AtomicEraTom

I do think there's a movement toward some class and formality. Who's to say what has caused it? Shows like Mad Men, perhaps?
