I picked this up from ebay after listing it in the Finds and Deals thread. Only one other person bid on it, and I got it for 1 increment above the opening price; a steal.
I'm so happy with the condition, quality, and fit of this jacket. It's really breathtaking how nice shape it is for a 60+...
It seems everyone here has a love-hate relationship with eBay. We love that you can find desirable, unusual vintage and repro items for a fair price, sometimes an exceptional bargain. But we all have heard or experienced a horror story, usually as a seller, since the Buyer Protection favors...
Nice Type III. Leather is midweight, nicely broken in and a bit faded, unless it was grey originally. Size M, and just a bit small. I can wear it, but it's a very close fit, particularly at the waist.
I'm debating keeping it or flipping it. What do you think? Any interest?
It arrived today. Like new, old stock and unworn. The leather isn't broken in, and it's exactly as described. The hardware is snaps, not buttons. There are four external pockets, one inside.
Fit seems to be excellent. Waist is trim, but a good fit. Length is just to the waist. Sleeves are...
I'm a big fan of military pants. They're pretty much all I wear. I've always liked them, ever since I saw my first pair of pants with side pockets on the legs. Modern or vintage, military, para-military, or civilian.
I'm not sure how on-topic this is, since mostly people who wear period...
I can't say I find it attractive, personally.

I haven't bought a new jacket in over a month now.
I keep seeing jacket's I'd buy if they were a bit cheaper, but I don't need them.
This is a weird feeling.
I've had my eye on the Freewheelers Switchyard coat for quite a while now, probably over a year. I almost picked one up last year in a Yahoo Japan auction, but someone hit Buy It Now at $1800, and I missed my chance.
Memory is fuzzy, but I think that one was a size 44 in Dead Leaf Brown...
So this popped up on ebay, and ebay happened to run one of those 15% off coupon codes, and I got the seller to come down a bit from his asking price, which made it a reasonable buy. If it fits, and looks at least half as good as these pictures, I've done OK.
Its design is interesting...
So MOSTLY I am on this forum going on and on about leather jackets. This is not one of those threads.
I've been thinking lately about getting a hat. I'm not sure if I'm really a hat person or not, though.
In the winter, I'll wear a knit watch cap if it's cold enough to warrant it, or if I'll...
Came across this heretofore unknown to me maker of what appears to be seriously thick leather motorcycle jackets in the vein of Langlitz and Cal Leather: Scarecrow Yah Ta Hey. Seems they are as popular in Japan, if not more so, than they are in the USA, although they are USA made, in Yah Ta...
Not mine, but I thought I'd pass it along in case someone wanted to take a chance on getting the stains or whatever out of it. If it could be cleaned up, it'd be a hell of a buy at it's buy-it-now price.

The color on these two is very, very close. The apparent difference in these photos is an artifact of the camera, not as obvious to the naked eye. They are very slightly different from each other, even in person, but not nearly as much as the photos make it seem.
In person, it's the Thedi...
Recently acquired. I wasn't looking for this; it found me.
Bill Kelso Aeronaut A-1 Cuoio
Already nicely broken in and darkened natural Badalassi. I already have my Thedi shawl collar, which is nearly this same color, but... the pockets are different! The price was right on this one. TBH I...
Just in time for Halloween. Or if you want to wait, Easter. Or maybe you're a fan of A Christmas Story, and are looking something for your 12 year old boy.
I present to you, this fine one-piece bunny costume, in pink. Comes complete with bunny head feet (attached) and a nice set of ears...
My first Langlitz Cascade was perfect, and I mean perfect. It fit amazingly well for a jacket that wasn't made for me. It had all the features I was looking for, and I got it for a very reasonable price.
It's a goatskin jacket, so lighter in weight, just under 4.25 lbs, which a lot of...
Edit: Doh, I just noticed my phone autocorrected the brand names, "Simmons Bilt" to "Built" and I can't correct the topic line.
I didn't think I'd ever buy a SB jacket, due to the history of the company, but I surprised myself a few weeks ago when I saw this one on their outlet page and...
Looks to be in very good condition, 40's vintage, and under $200! Someone should snap this up...

During my routine ebay browsing, a jacket caught my eye:
I love the collar on this one. It's not something many people think about, I guess, but when the cross-zip jacket is zipped all the way up, often times the collar doesn't lay flat and straight, as it does on this one. To me, this is...
