Rare Vintage Martinelli wide brimmed Gay Prince style fedora 7 1/8

No. I saw the information for a Martinelli and thought this is where it should post. I knew the ad was older but figured if Martinelli is phrased then this is where it should go.

Rare Vintage Martinelli wide brimmed Gay Prince style fedora 7 1/8

Just picked this up from a seller who had it listed as a Dobbs hat because it was in a Dobbs box. When I looked at the pics I couldn't believe what I saw. It's a "Martinelli" version of the Dobbs Gay Prince. The hat was in the open crown with no indication of ever being worn. The leather sweat...

    Post New Hats Here!

Just picked up this "Melton". I'm not into the shorter brims but this was so nice I couldn't pass it up. It was only 20.00 and came with this butt ugly hat box. Not sure if it's original to the hat but it came along with it. I'm not familiar with "Melton" hats but I believe this is from the...

    Young`s Hats NYC

Just picked this up today. Young's sold Stetsons back in the day and when I got the hat, low and behold, all the Stetson tags were under the sweat band. I didn't take pics of the stickers and tags for fear I didn't want to disturb the sweat band too much. It's a 1948 Stetson in a size 7 3/8. The...

    Barclay Hats

Early 1940's Barclay that I did a resto on. Stretched it from a 7 1/8 to 7 3/8, sewed a new leather sweat band in it, cleaned the liner, and felt, reshaped it, and kept the original ribbon. Once it was cleaned, the true color came out which is a really nice shade of almost a rose or lavender...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

1940's Dobbs "Gay Prince" size 7 1/2. Picked this up online last week. It was listed on the Yuma SPCA charity items for sale. When I saw it, I had to look twice, and I hit the Buy It Now button so fast that my finger dislocated. :) They only had listed for 60.00. It's in remarkable condition...

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Wow! Great info and thank you so much for the translation. I know the seller did have it posted as being 1970's but I wasn't sure. I love wearing it and it's definitely one of my favorites.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Picked this Borsalino up on Ebay the other week. To my surprise, no one else was bidding on it so I got it for a song. I don't know much about Borsalino's and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this model. Is it a non export to the US, and what year would this be. I was told...

    Borsalino

Just picked up this Borsalino circa 1982. I know nothing of these hats, and I was the only one who bid on it which makes me wonder why. I wear a 7 3/8 and it fits like a glove. Very comfortable. Does anyone know any info on this particular model?

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Here's pics of a 1950's "The Chaser" by the Bee Hat Co. I picked this up on Ebay for 30.00. The seller had it cleaned and blocked. It has a 4 1/2" crown with a 2 1/4" brim in a beaver blend. Neat lil hat. Not sure if it was named after a mixed drink or a secret agent. :)

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Thanks so much Jay. This morning I just bought a 1950s Bee Hats "The Chaser" in 7 3/8, reblocked and cleaned in black for 30.00 on Ebay. Nice wider brim in the beaver felt. Nice looking hat with a super clean white liner with the neat looking logo. I thought for 30.00 bucks and 1950's, it seemed...

Is the 1950's Bee Hat "The Chase" beaver blend in excellent condition a good hat to add to a collection?
