Lol well I was thinking I would go with a cordovan plainsman with shearling liner. Also thought black goat with light colored shearling would look pretty cool. Any suggestions folks?
How is the corduroy for the arms, you don't find it grabs clothing?

Been working in the northwest territories for the last 7 years, 120miles from the circle. A few years back it hit -59c (-74f), we lost almost 20 windshields to the temp diff between the warm inside (you don't turn things off up here in winter) and the outside cold! Sucks to breathe at that...
I'm planning on a new winter coat as well. I've read piles of posts here that say the alpaca won't do into minus temps, and that the shearling is the way to go.
Has anyone here have any experience with both a sheepskin flight jacket and a mouton lined jacket? How they differ in the cold...
