I have a great pre-1949 double-breasted suit that someone made single breasted and cut down the lapels so they were thin. They also took in the pant legs and removed the cuffs...guess they didn't have a lot of money to buy a new "Continental"-look suit so they made do with what they had.
I think I finally understand where this series is heading, and the writers are not being subtle at all. All of these references to death are all foreshadowing Don's inevitable demise. This season is going to get depressing...

Okay, all got my girly tie in today. It's silk and it's white and it's dirty as all hell.
Anyone with advice please help! There's just a general layer of grime I'd like to remove first before I get on to spot treating.

The tailor works for you, not the other way around. Perhaps a folder with production stills of Grant, Bogart, Flynn, etc. will help them understand what you want?
